Constitution Day

We wrote our classroom rules at the beginning of the year then each signed them on Constitution Day, Sept. 17th.

First Graders use i-pod touches

We use i-pod touches daily in first grade. We can play games or read stories together. We work in groups or individually.

Tagging Monarchs

First Grade 2010-11

Both first grade sections tagged Monarch butterflies and let them go when the BVCounty naturalist was here. This shows the tag we stuck on each. Deb Lindgren caught 60 butterflies so each first grader got to let one go.

Our high school art class painted t-shirts for us.

SHellling in First Grade

Mrs. Bellinghausen went to Florida and brought back lots of shells for us to identify and polish. We each got to take home a bucket of shells.

Nurse Tiefenthaler teaches about germs

Mrs. Tiefenthaler came into our room and had us searching for germs. She comes in and teaches us about good health and safety.
