Pumpkin Patch

We went to the Pumpkin Patch in Alta. We got a big Pumpkin for our room and little pumpkins to take home. We also got to see animals, milk a cow, and play in a pool of corn.

Kiesha helps us everyday with L to J and many reading interventions. We love having her come down. She also gets a credit for helping us.

ICN Session- Math

We visit The ICN room for many sessions in Science, Social Studies, as well as other subject areas.

Constitution Day

We wrote our classroom rules at the beginning of the year then each signed them on Constitution Day, Sept. 17th.

First Graders use i-pod touches

We use i-pod touches daily in first grade. We can play games or read stories together. We work in groups or individually.

Tagging Monarchs

Abby Johnson is letting go of the Monarch butterfly she just tagged.

First Grade 2010-11

Both first grade sections tagged Monarch butterflies and let them go when the BVCounty naturalist was here. This shows the tag we stuck on each. Deb Lindgren caught 60 butterflies so each first grader got to let one go.
